Prayer Walk

December 2006
12/07/07

BIENVENIDO! ... WELCOME!   Won't you come walk with us in Maracay?  As we walk, let us pray that we look at the places and the people we visit through God's eyes of love.  Does Jesus love the people who live in the apartments in Maracay?  Does He love the ones who work and serve the patrons at the restaurants in town?  Does He love those who care for the patients in the hospitals?  How about the patients?  Does He love them?  Does He love all those working in the corporations and businesses in the city?  DOES JESUS LOVE THE PEOPLE OF MARACAY?  Did He give His life for them so that they might have LIFE?  OH, YES!

How can you share the love of Jesus with the people Maracay?  Will you commit to walk with us on a regular basis and pray over these prayer stops?  PRAY ... PRAY ... PRAY as you walk!

Thank you for coming.  Please come again and again as you lift these requests to our Father.

I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6

Election-

Please pray for the presidential elections that are scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd.  Pray that the nation would remain peaceful before and after the elections.

 Field of Sugar Cane-

One of the major crops of the Central Valley of Venezuela is sugar cane.  Just as these fields are “white unto the harvest,” so are the professionals of Venezuela.  Pray for more workers to help us and our team to “bring in the harvest.”

Wednesday Group-

What a joy it has been to get to know this group of young professionals!  Please pray that the Lord would open their hearts and minds to the gospel as it is shared on Dec. 13th through the story of Nicodemos.

The members of the group from left to right are: Pedro, Winelia (co-leader), Ticho, Esperanza, Vicente and Lorena.

Language College-

Mike and I had the opportunity to share with the students and teachers of this English language institute how Thanksgiving is celebrated in the US.  We emphasized the importance of giving thanks to God every day of the year.  Pray that we would be able to return to share more about God and His Word.

Christmas-

This looks like a typical mall in the US, but in reality it is the Las Americas Mall just a few blocks from our apartment in Maracay.  Pray that Mike and I would be able to use this Christmas season to remind people of the true reason we are celebrating.  We are planning to invite our neighbors to a Christmas party.  Pray that everyone would be open to attending and hearing about the Christ of Christmas.
