How can you ... where you are ... share the love of Jesus with the people in Maracay? There is a way. Will you commit to walk with us daily and pray over these prayer stops? PRAY ... PRAY ... Day 3 - May 20, 2008 Last evening, we met two couples for Bible study in one of their homes. Mike led the Bible study in Spanish, but we all participated (some more than others). The couples were very hospitable and kind. Although they at different stages in their Christian walk, they seemed to be growing in their maturity and keenness to study the Bible. We had a good time of fellowship. Our morning began with breakfast and devotional time at the Bennett's apartment. Then we went on our prayer walk for the morning in two of the four districts which the Bennetts are trying to reach - Base Aragua and El Bosque. It was very enlightening to see the vastness of the area and the number of people needing the Gospel. We prayed for opportunities for Mike and Jan to gain access and start Bible studies in these apartment buildings. We will share more once we are back. We are now off to another Bible study with the ladies. The 3 Ms

Tuesday, May 20, AM This is a shopping center/office building located in an upscale area of Maracay. Many professionals are in this area every day. Pray that God would put a desire in their hearts to attend one of our conferences where they would hear the gospel message

Bancoro BanCoro, a Venezuelan bank. Our friend Lorena works at this branch. Please pray for Lorena and her husband, Javier, who is a dentist. Lorena attended the first conference and was part of our first small group, which met in her apartment. Unfortunately, this group stopped meeting after Christmas and Lorena hasn’t been involved since. Pray that the Lord would put a desire in her heart to begin attending another small group. Pray that we can further develop a friendship with this young couple. Pray for the manager, Jose, that he would become involved in one of our groups and would allow Mike to talk to the employees at the bank. |

Base Aragua Near the Eurobuilding is a large neighborhood of apartment buildings known as Base Aragua where over 2500 professionals live. Join with us as we walk around this area praying for the many people who live here who have never heard how to have a personal relationship with Christ. Pray that God would work in this area, opening doors to the buildings and to the hearts of the people so we could share the good news with them

Columbus
Javier and Lorena Granadello live in the large apartment complex of red brick buildings at the left of the picture in Base Aragua. Javier is a dentist and Lorena is an officer in a local bank. Lorena has been a part of one of our small groups and has prayed to receive Christ. Javier has never shown much interest. Pray for this young couple that God would put a desire within Lorena to get involved once again and that Javier would have a desire to accompany her to the meetings |

El Bosque This is another large professional area of luxury high-rises. We will be walking around this area which is home to more than 2000 professional families. It is impossible for us to get beyond the gates and security guards, but God is able. Pray that these professionals will hear about our conferences and have the desire to attend. Pray that God would work in their hearts and minds to want to be a part of one of our small groups.

Abogados
Pray that they will be open for Mike to give a talk to their membership. Pray for an attorney that is going through martial problems and although he at one time attended an evangelical church, he now refuses to attend and blames the church for "being too critical of him." |

Osphyl’s
Apartment
Osphyl, the owner of The Language Collage, an English language institute, lives in this building. At one time we had a small group meeting in her apartment. Unfortunately most of the members lost interest so we stopped meeting. Osphyl would like to start the group again. Pray that this would happen in September, after the summer vacation time. Pray for Osphyl, and her sister Esmeralda, who are Christians. Pray that their friends would be interested in returning to the group. Pray for the former members of the group, Victor and Mara, Kristy, Jacqueline, Margery, and Katiuska. Pray that the Lord would give them a strong desire to attend faithfully this time and be open to the teachings of the Bible studies we will sharing with them. |

Park This children’s playground is located within the El Bosque area. Near here are at least two preschools where the children of professionals attend. As we walk past this park, let us pray for these children and their parents. Pray that the faith of the professionals would be like a child’s, open and trusting. Pray that these parents would set a good example for their children in the area of their Christian faith. |

Clinic The Maracay Clinic is a private hospital located on the edge of El Bosque. Pray for the health care professionals who work here and the patients who can afford this type of care. Pray that the hearts of all who are in this building would be open to the gospel message of Christ. Pray for an opening for us here, possibly to have a short devotional time once a week with the staff. Pray that one of the professionals that work here would attend one of our conferences and become involved in our ministry |

Tuesday, May 20, PM
This is a picture of the Tuesday Ladies Group, (L to R), Mercedes, Maria, Yasqlet, Bianca and Yelitza. All of the ladies except Maria work together as teachers in one of the public schools in Maracay. Maria is the owner of our apartment and is a full time housewife and mother of three teenage girls. Pray that these ladies, who prayed to receive Christ a few months ago, would grow in their new faith. Pray for receptive and understanding hearts and minds.
