Dear Prayer Partners,

Well, October whizzed by and here we are in November already.  Thank you for your prayers as Mike and I drove from one end of Venezuela to the other sharing the Word of God with many different groups of people.

We were able to distribute all the booklets, around 2500, to the families who live in the Base Aragua neighborhood.  Unfortunately, we have not had much of a response from the people to our invitation to join a small group, but we know that the word of God never returns void.  So we are trusting that the Lord is working and in his timing we will see results from this effort.

We also returned once again to Falcon to help with a youth retreat for the young people from the two churches we began in Coro and Punto Fijo.  We took three members of our team with us who are mature believers even though they are only in their 20's.  They were a great blessing to us as they led the retreat and really connected with the youth.  Continue to lift up the youth of the churches in Coro and Punto Fijo.  They are really growing in their walk with the Lord.

The next weekend saw us in the eastern part of Venezuela in the city of Maturin.  Mike was the main speaker at a conference for professionals.  Six months ago, Mike and I went to the First Baptist Church in this city to lead a workshop on how to reach professionals.  Now a group from this church was putting into practice what they had learned.  What a great experience it was to see these believers reaching out to professionals in their city using what they had been taught!  About 30 professionals attended the all-day conference on "How to be Truly Successful."  Pray for these believers to follow-up with the attendees and lead each one to a knowledge of Christ.

Our next event in Maracay is this Thursday.  We are having a multi-disciplinary conference on Stress.  Two of our team members will be speaking as well as Mike.  One is a Christian psychologist, the other is an  Occupational Therapist.  They will be talking about how stress effects the emotional as well as the physical areas of our lives.  Mike will conclude with the spiritual area.  Pray that many professionals, who are under a lot of stress, will come to this conference.  Once again, so far the signups have not been numerous.

Continue to pray for our small groups.  We give thanks for each person involved in our groups, our team members here in Venezuela as well as you, who are also part of our team in the US. Thank you for your prayers.  Mike and I wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

 Always, JAN
