Dear Prayer Partners,

Mike and I really appreciate your continuing prayers for us and for our ministry to the professionals of Maracay.  We are especially in need of your prayers at this time.  We feel that everything we are doing or trying to do to reach the professionals is under attack.  We are not surprised by this, but it just seems like hard going at this time.  Let me give you some specific battles we are fighting and how you can fight alongside of us.

As I mentioned in my last letter, we are planning on having another conference for the professionals next Wednesday, Feb. 28th at 7:00pm.  (That would be 6:00pm EST.)  We have really tried to publicize this talk, but at this time we have very few signed up.  Please, please pray for this conference.  Pray that Satan would be frustrated in his efforts to keep people away.  Pray that Mike's voice would be strong as he has been battling a cold and throat problems the past two weeks.  Pray before, during and after the conference that God would be glorified and many people would attend and want to continue in the follow-up seminars and small groups that will form after the seminars are concluded.

We are also seeing a reduction in the number of people attending the small groups we already have.  Both the Tuesday and Wednesday groups are experiencing alot of absenteeism.  Pray that the people would have a desire to make these groups their top priority and be faithful attendees.  Pray especially for Vincente who has only been to one meeting since we started back after the New Year.

Finally, please pray for a new group that was started last Thursday in the apartment of Osphyl, the director of The Language College. (the English institute behind our apartment.) She is a believer and invited a number of her unsaved friends to attend.  However only a handful came.  Pray that tonight would be different and there would be a big crowd.

Thank you again for your support.  We are in need of redoubled prayer efforts at this time

Always, JAN
