Dear Prayer Partners,
Well, the apartment is decorated, the tree
is up, trips to the mall are becoming more frequent, and the calendar
is full of Christmas parties. Sound familiar? Mike and I are busy,
just as you are, making final plans for the Christmas season. This
will be a special time for us as we share Christmas with all our
groups in Maracay, Coro and Punto Fijo before leaving for the States
to celebrate Christmas with our family.
As I wrote in my last prayer letter, we
celebrated Thanksgiving with our two groups here in Maracay. They
really enjoyed their "Thanksgiving dinner." They were somewhat
skeptical of the cranberry sauce, having never seen anything quite
like that, but everyone was game to at least give it a taste. Most
thought it was pretty good! The dinners gave Mike and I a chance to
talk about God's blessings. Each person had a chance to give thanks
to God for something or someone. We were very pleased with the
responses.
On Thanksgiving Day we were at The Language
College, spending the day with the students who are learning English.
The students learned about the history of the day in their classes, so
Mike and I talked about how a typical modern Thanksgiving Day was
spent. It gave us a chance to know the students and the teachers.
Please pray for more chances next year to have contact with
this school and develop friendships with the people there.
Besides traveling to Falcon to have
Christmas parties with our friends in Coro and Punto Fijo on December
15 and 16, we will also be celebrating here with our two groups next
week. We received a wonderful answer to prayer when one of our
neighbors approached Mike and asked him what he thought about having a
Christmas get-together for our building. He was thrilled to say that
it was a great idea! As you know, we have been praying for more
contacts with our neighbors. This will give us a chance to know them
better. We praise God for opening this door.

virtual prayer walk on our web site, please go to

Thank you for a wonderful year of praying
for us and our ministry. Mike and I wish you a very Merry Christmas
and a Happy and Blessed New Year.
Always, JAN
